Forward Step Up

How: In a standing position in front of stairs, lift your affected leg onto the first step. You may use the handrail or a cane for support. Keeping your foot flat on the step, straighten your affected leg, lifting your other leg up to the step. Step back with your non-affected leg to the starting position, leaving your affected leg on the step.

How often: Work up to 10 reps, 3 times a day.
